Bulgaria is located on the Balkan Peninsula in Southeast Europe and shares common borders with five countries: in the north, the Danube River forms the border with Romania, in the south it borders Turkey and Greece, in the west - with Serbia and North Macedonia, and in the east with the Black Sea.

The Rila mountain is located in South-Western Bulgaria, where the highest point of the country is also - Mount Musala (2925 m).

The largest river is the Danube, whose tributaries are the Iskar and Yantra. Other important rivers – Maritsa, Struma, Kamchia.

CLIMATE:

In most parts of Bulgaria, there is a continental climate with cold winters and hot summers, in the south it becomes Mediterranean. The average temperature in May – 20 ° C, in June and September – 25 ° C in July and August – + 26-28 ° C. The average annual temperature is about 13 ° C.

The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia.
